Dana is a research assistant at the Department of Neuroscience and Neurobiology at Tel Aviv University (Barzilai Lab) and the head of Diagnostic Research team in the Israeli Ministry of Health, leading research on diagnostic technologies for SARS-CoV-2. She's co-manager and founder of the BrainStormTAU student's NeuroTech community and a board member at the leading forum of Israel's "Future Scientists" centre. Dana was Israel's delegate in Asian Science Camp 2019, Israel's representative at EUCYS 2018 and winner of the national science fair competition. She won special award for Excelling Research in life science at the "Alpha" gifted students program.

She is a great believer in autodidact learning and multi-disciplinary education as key enablers of problem-solving and innovation, promoting synthetic biology among youngsters.
